Magic in Art

Deadline: Friday, November 21st

December 11th, 2025 - January 31st

Opening Reception: Friday, December 12th, 5-8pm

Magic in Art, Electra Gallery’s final exhibition of 2025, takes its name from Andre Breton’s 1957 text of the same name published this year in English translation for the first time by Fulgur Press. The exhibition will look at the use of visual language and the techniques of the artist to create paintings, drawings, sculpture, and other works that are intended to be vehicles of transformation – affecting the viewer and the world around them in tangible ways.

Artists who make images and objects that aim to heal, enlighten, manifest, protect, or otherwise actively influence their environments, and those that behold them, in specific ways are encouraged to apply.

Note: The gallery cannot accommodate artworks larger than 30” on any side.

Free to apply

Artist will be responsible for shipping costs to the gallery and return shipping if necessary.
