Opening Reception - Marlene Seven Bremner: MYTHIC ALCHEMY - 10/2, 5-8pm

Electra Gallery is thrilled to present Mythic Alchemy, a solo exhibition of masterful oil paintings depicting otherworldly landscapes, powerful archetypal figures, magic, and folklore. Hyper-realistic flora, imagined creatures, and mythological beings cavort in these vibrant and technically accomplished surrealistic paintings by self-taught artist and author, Marlene Seven Bremner. Bremner strives to bridge the conscious and sub-conscious through her creative process which is informed by her study of alchemy as a blueprint for creativity, transformation and refinement.

Marlene Seven Bremner was born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1983. She is a self-taught oil painter, author, and teacher whose work explores mythical and spiritual themes. Both her art and writing are deeply inspired and informed by the Hermetic arts of alchemy, magic, and astrology. Seven has taught classes, given lectures, and appeared on various podcasts to discuss her work. She developed her painting career in the Pacific Northwest, showing her work in both group and solo exhibitions along the West Coast and internationally. She now resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico where she continues painting and writing. Seven is the author of Hermetic Philosophy and Creative Alchemy (Inner Traditions, 2022), and The Hermetic Marriage of Art and Alchemy (Inner Traditions, 2023)
