"The video This Could Be suggests queer tripping and illumination via abstraction and repetition that suspend reality and alter perception. The questioning motifs of the music and morning birdsong sound end in a more assertive composition that glimpses possibility." - Eddy Falconer
Eddy Falconer, b. 1965, is a nonbinary artist who grew up in 70s San Francisco and lived in New York City and Berlin at the height of the AIDS crisis. Diagnosed bipolar after six years of struggle (and drag and art study and filmmaking) during the fall of the Berlin Wall, they were an original, publishing member of theicarusproject.net, a mad mutual aid
resource. The best known works of Eddy have been in experimental and animated movies, not to mention theater, including the world premiere staging of Valerie Solanas’ Up Your Ass in 2000 with George CoatesPerformance Works in SF. Screenings of Falconer films have taken place all over the world, outdoors and in! An intern alum of Franklin Furnace, they have occasionally contributed works to galleries such as Krowswork in Oakland, abcnorio in New York, and the Achim Freyer Kunsthaus in Berlin.
